The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, initially planned to visit Lebanon before his trip to New York, due to regional developments. However, on the recommendation of the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, this trip was postponed to a later date, Iranian source said.

Following recent device explosions in Lebanon and Israel’s strikes, Araghchi again considered traveling to Beirut. However, due to certain considerations, he was advised not to rush this visit.

Araghchi is currently en route to New York, where he is scheduled to participate in the UN General Assembly and other bilateral and multilateral meetings.

In recent weeks, Israel has intensified its strikes and assassinations in the region, including in Lebanon. These actions have included exploding communication devices and conducting airstrikes, escalating tensions in the region.

Iranian deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht Ravanchi, said that Israel “pushes the limit to a new, perilous level. It not only continuously blocks a ceasefire in Gaza, but plays a dangerous game in Lebanon, too.” He urged the international community to force Israel “to stop its adventures before it’s too late.”
