Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretariat issued a significant statement Sunday, announcing that a complex intelligence operation by the Ministry of Intelligence has yielded sensitive nuclear and other documents related to Israel. The statement warned that should Israel engage in any aggression against Iran, particularly targeting its nuclear sites, the “regime’s hidden nuclear facilities” would immediately become targets for retaliation.
According to the SNSC Secretariat, “months of tireless efforts” by Iran’s intelligence forces, involving complex intelligence operations and precise reconnaissance, have “completed the target bank” for Iran’s retaliatory measures against any potential “malice” from Israel.
The statement characterized this intelligence gain as a “great achievement” and a crucial part of Iran’s “intelligent plan and silent, unpublicized actions” aimed at countering “enemy commotions.” It added that another vital component is the continuous efforts of Iran’s armed forces to build operational capabilities capable of responding to the strengths and weaknesses of Israel and its supporters.
The SNSC Secretariat asserted that access to this intelligence and the completion of the “intelligence and operational cycle” now enables Iran to respond to a potential Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities by immediately striking Israel’s “hidden nuclear facilities.” It further warned that any hostile action targeting Iran’s economic or military infrastructure would be met with retaliation “exactly proportionate to the type of aggression.”
