Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in the Omani capital of Muscat as part of a previously announced itinerary, and following a visit to Pakistan aimed at establishing a comprehensive ceasefire and ending the ongoing regional conflict.
According to information obtained by Iran Nuances, the top Iranian diplomat held a critical round of talks with Pakistani officials in Islamabad. During his stay in Pakistan, Araghchi clearly outlined Iran’s positions and outlined the required parameters for any potential understanding that would lead to a permanent cessation of hostilities and the restoration of peace.
Iran Nuances has learned that Araghchi is scheduled to make a return visit to Pakistan after concluding his meetings in Oman, before ultimately heading to Moscow.
Sources indicate that a segment of Araghchi’s accompanying delegation has temporarily left the tour to return to Tehran. The returning diplomats are currently engaged in consultations with the capital regarding the specific terms and mechanisms required to end the war. Following these discussions, the team is expected to rejoin the Foreign Minister tomorrow to resume the diplomatic push.
