General Yahya Saree, the official spokesperson of the Yemeni armed forces, has formally declared the targeting of certain Israeli positions. This development signifies Yemen’s participation in the ongoing conflict with Israel.

According to Saree, Yemeni forces “have initiated a significant number of ballistic missile and drone strikes against various enemy targets within the occupied territories. This marks the third operation aimed at assisting our oppressed brothers in Palestine.”

Saree further emphasized, “Our missile and drone attacks will persist until the Israeli aggression ceases. Yemen’s stance on the Palestinian issue remains steadfast and principled, recognizing the inherent right of the Palestinian nation to defend itself and exercise its legitimate rights.”

The spokesperson underscored “the destabilizing consequences of the Zionist enemy’s continuous acts of violence and the resulting loss of life, not only within the Gaza Strip but across all Palestinian territories.” He said, this, in turn, exacerbates the regional security situation and broadens the scope of the conflict.

Today on October 31, the Israeli army claimed to have intercepted and destroyed several missiles launched from Yemen. Over the past few days, rockets and drones originating from Yemen have been observed targeting occupied territories, particularly the southern region of Eilat.

The Prime Minister of Yemen also issued a warning, stating that Israeli ships in the Red Sea will be targeted if the attacks on Gaza persist.

These threats and attacks by Yemen represent a significant turning point in the ongoing conflict in Palestine. From a strategic perspective, they serve as a means of deterring Israel’s ambitions of complete occupation in Gaza.

Military experts believe that Yemen possesses the capability to target Israeli interests along its southern coast, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea. As such, Israeli military and naval bases in neighboring countries such as Eritrea and Djibouti could potentially become Yemeni targets in the days ahead.

Observers argue that Yemen’s attacks on Israeli targets, while potentially diverting Israel’s focus in the Gaza war, complicate the dynamics between the United States and its Arab allies in the region. Given the anti-Israeli objectives of the Yemeni armed forces’ attacks, Saudi Arabia cannot remain neutral if American forces were to launch a possible attack on Yemen.

Today, Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the conflict in Gaza has entered its third stage. He stated that the first phase has concluded, while the ongoing second phase comprises airstrikes. With the expansion of a ground offensive in Gaza, the conflict has now transitioned into its third phase, he said.
