The three European countries – UK, France and Germany – have requested to hold discussions with Iranian Deputy Foreign Ministers on the sidelines of the upcoming round of Iran-US indirect talks in Rome. This request has been accepted by the Iranian side, Iran Nuances learned.
The E3 were informed that this potential meeting could take place on Friday, May 2nd, ahead of the talks with the US.
A new round of these indirect negotiations between Iran and the U.S. is currently scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd.
The possibility of European talks occurring adjacent to the Iran-U.S. discussions suggests parallel diplomatic efforts by Iran are underway.
